Meeting Room Architecture Acoustic Design Conference Hall Interior Decoration Design

1. Project overview

This plan takes a conference room with a building area of about 176.1㎡, a height of about 3 meters, and an indoor volume of about 530m³ as an example to explain the architectural acoustic design plan of the conference room.

The main acoustic requirement in the conference room is to ensure clear speech sounds. This requires strict control of the reverberation time (especially the low-frequency reverberation time) in the conference room, and the control of the low-frequency reverberation time is a relatively difficult matter in the acoustic field, which can be replaced by non-decorative professionals.

Design requirements

In accordance with the national standard "Code for Architectural Acoustic Design of Theaters, Cinemas and Conference Rooms" and the proposed acoustic indicators and acoustic measures, through design calculations to control various parameters, eliminate various defects, and improve the quality of the internal acoustic environment of the space to ensure Normal use of functional rooms. Make the interior decoration design achieve the effect of both beautiful and practical.

Design goals:

1) The indoor space obtains appropriate reverberation time and reverberation frequency characteristics, and the mid-frequency reverberation time is controlled within the range of 1.0s under full-field conditions to achieve a good sound quality environment and voice clarity.

2) Acoustic defects such as silent standing waves, flutter echoes, and multiple echoes.

2. Basic parameters of acoustic design

2.1 Reverberation time

The reverberation time T60 refers to the time it takes for the sound pressure level to decay by 60dB after the sound source in the room stops making sound after the sound field in the room reaches a steady state. It is one of the most important objective indicators to evaluate the sound quality of a room.

The calculation formula of T60 is:

Among them, the indoor average sound absorption coefficient:

CE Multiscene Architecture Acoustic Design EPC Modern Interior 1

V—room volume, m³;

S—total indoor surface area, m²;

α—indoor average sound absorption coefficient;

m—sound attenuation coefficient in air (M-1);

Si—the surface area of each part of the room, m²;

αi—the sound absorption coefficient corresponding to Si;

Nj—the number of people or objects, m²;

αj—the sound absorption coefficient corresponding to Ni.

The length of the reverberation time directly affects the effect of listening. If the reverberation time is too long, it will affect the clarity of listening and may cause howling in the sound reinforcement system and is not conducive to the sound transmission gain of the sound reinforcement system. If it is too short, the sound will become dry, weak and unnatural, which will affect people's normal ability to distinguish sound. To this end, sound-absorbing materials need to be arranged reasonably so that the frequency characteristic curve tends to be basically flat to achieve a suitable reverberation time.

2.2 Background Noise (RN)

The environmental noise mainly includes the environmental noise outside the building and the environmental noise inside the building.

Environmental noise outside the building includes: traffic noise, factory noise, building construction noise, business noise, social life noise, etc.

Environmental noise in the building includes: pump room, air-conditioning machine room, elevator room and other equipment rooms, noise from the flow of people in the lobby and corridors, and floor impact noise generated by the activities of upper-level personnel, etc.

2.3 No sound quality defects such as low-frequency resonance and sound coloration

A flutter echo is a series of immediately following reflected impulses caused by the same original impulse. Flutter echo phenomenon is easily generated between parallel surfaces.

Acoustic focusing means that the sound is focused to one place after being reflected by the concave arc surface, resulting in uneven distribution of the sound field. The concave arc wall is very easy to produce sound focusing phenomenon.

In order to improve the listening effect of the conference room, it is not only required to control the reverberation time in the hall, but also to eliminate acoustic defects such as sound focus and flutter echo, so that the voice in the hall is clear and the sound field is uniform.

3.  Acoustic analysis of the place

1. The volume of the meeting room is 528m³, which is very easy to generate echoes and multiple echoes, making people's hearing cloudy.

2. The length is 17.5m, the free sound path is too large, and it is easy to produce echo.

3. The place is rectangular, with parallel walls, and vibration echoes are likely to be generated between parallel walls.

4. The ceiling of the place is parallel to the roof, and it is easy to form multiple reflections parallel to the ground tiles. The above phenomena will cause acoustic defects in the venue and affect the listening effect of the audience. Acoustic materials must be properly installed to improve and eliminate acoustic defects.

4. Acoustic proposal

the wall

The main functional requirements of the conference room: mainly for conferences; in order to improve the uniformity of the indoor sound field, ensure the clarity of indoor speech, and eliminate acoustic defects such as indoor echoes, multiple echoes, and fluttering echoes, sound-absorbing materials with strong sound absorption will be selected to achieve The purpose of controlling the short reverberation time.

In order to reasonably control the reverberation time in the meeting room, maintain the decoration design effect, eliminate the inherent acoustic defects of the building and improve the sound field uniformity of the meeting, various acoustic decoration materials should be comprehensively arranged in the meeting room, and the shapes and specifications of these materials should be strictly controlled. , installation angle and installation method.

It is recommended to install 90mm E-grade sound-absorbing panels on the wall, and the installation height is 3m. The vibration echo and multiple echoes on the parallel wall are eliminated through the sound absorption of the wall.

5. Design effect

6.1 The decoration is beautiful and elegant, and the visual experience is comfortable and good.

6.2 The sound-absorbing material has no dust pollution of glass fiber particles, no formaldehyde pollution, and meets the environmental protection requirements of air quality in the place.

6.3 has a good tone. That is, the low, medium and treble are moderately balanced.

6.4 The listening sound in the venue is relatively clear, without sound quality defects such as coloration.

6.5 After the implementation of the project, the acoustic environment and the environment inside the venue will be suitable, meeting the full-field reverberation time index and reaching the national standard.

7. Description

The measures to ensure that the designed sound absorption effect meets the design standards are:

1) This scheme is simulated, analyzed and calculated based on specific acoustic materials, and the design effect can only be achieved by strictly following the acoustic parameters of the acoustic materials on which the design is based. If new architectural acoustic materials are replaced, they must be appraised by architectural acoustic engineers before they can be used;

2) The construction quality should be strict and accurate. During the construction process, the construction must be carried out in accordance with the acoustic material parameters confirmed in the design. If there is any change, the acoustic engineer should be informed, and it can only be replaced after accounting and confirmation.

8. Five-step service process

01. Understand customer needs
The first step is to understand the customer's needs (data provided: on-site video, on-site accurate CAD drawings, the style that the customer likes)
02. Plane layout planning
The second step is the layout planning, after the modification is confirmed (charge: deposit for design scheme)
03. Scheme Design Customization
The third step is to customize the scheme design (production of renderings and simulation software), and confirm the modification (fee: final payment for design scheme & deposit for construction design scheme)
